Here are this week’s updates.
In May this year, Walker Books is publishing a collection of Stephen Whiteside’s poetry for children, The Billy That Died With Its Boots On and Other Australian Verse.
Dr Stephen Whiteside shares his journey – The Fulfillment of a Lifetime Quest: Writing the Billy That Died With Its Boots On and Other Australian Verse.

That’s it for this week.

Hi Di,
Although the esteemed SA poet, Max Fatchen, isn’t yet on your list, I wondered if you’d like to have a look at a piece I wrote about him for a festival, (Books Be In It) in 2004, as he was the patron. Throughout the speech I wove in poems which related to that period of his life.
Let me know what you think and I’ll find some photos to accompany the piece if you think it’s suitable.
Thanks and kind regards Janeen

Hi there Janeen! Thanks very much for your post. I would love to receive your piece about Max Fatchen for the blog site. Please email it to me c% dibates@outlook.com
I look forward to reading and posting it! At the moment someone is compiling a biography of Max for the A to Z of Australian poets. I’m in the process of doing same for the late David Bateson and Lilith Norman. You don’t happen to have any children’s poems by either of these writers, do you?
