In 2020, school students and poetic friends from Australian Children’s Poetry shared their poems about the OCEAN on the Science Rhymes blog. Last year our science topic was FRUITS & VEGETABLES.
This year, please can you create poems about GLASS for National Science Week? Ideally, each poem will contain 1 to 5 rhyming verses that include an element of science and is something to do with GLASS. If you’d like a little more information, there’s a free pdf titled OUR WORLD WITH GLASS which can be downloaded from: https://www.scienceweek.net.au/experience/the-many-faces-of-glass-poetry-blog/ or https://www.sciencerhymes.com.au/national-science-week.
There’s a deadline of Friday 29th July, but receiving your poems earlier would be very helpful. All successful poems will be published on THE MANY FACES OF GLASS blog in time for National Science Week (13-21 August).
Thanks everyone!
Best Wishes,
Celia

Great idea, Celia. Is there a reason the poems must be in rhyme?

I watched a white bird fly away
till it vanished into the blue sky.
My spirit returned,
calm from its flight.
