Kerry Gittins: Administrator

When Kerry Gittins took on the role of Administrator, she changed the website display to a soft green and gave us a new and elegant logo banner! The feather-quill writing a heart-shape was sourced from a website (such as HiClipart), offering free clip art for designers to use. Although previous Administrators had endeavoured to only include free-to-use images on the website, Kerry established the protocol of including a link and/or name attribution to confirm each image was free-to-use or approved-for-use on this platform.

With over three thousand historical blog posts, it wasn’t possible to check each one. So, a blitz recently took place, removing all unattributed images. This was to safeguard the website from transgressing copyright.

Before she became Administrator, Kerry had occasionally stepped in to give long-term Administrator, Jeanie Axton, a holiday break. When Jeanie left, no new Administrator had been found. Fortunately, Kerry kindly agreed to take the position short-term until this was rectified.

Thank you, Kerry, for your valuable and caring contributions to ACP!
