Australian Children’s Poetry
The Australian Children’s Poetry blog showcases contemporary poems for children written by Australian poets.
We accept unsolicited poetry submissions in response to our monthly Poetry Prompts or on open themes, especially with an Australian flavour. We prefer poems of 300 words or less in an easily reproduced format (text or image). We are unable to provide feedback, editing or assessment services.

Adult authors, please send one poem at a time. If you have a specific image to accompany your poem, please include acknowledgement of the artist/photographer and ensure you have permission to use their work. If you have chosen an image from a royalty-free database such as Pexels or Pixabay, please include the link to that image.
For teachers and homeschooling adults, please submit your best 3 class poems (no image). Successful children’s poems will appear as: POEM TITLE by FIRST NAME ONLY at SCHOOL NAME and STATE/TERRITORY. Australian Children’s Poetry will not publish or correspond on poems that are not submitted via an adult’s email address.
