Birthday Eve
by Nadine Cranenburgh
My presents are boxed up all brightly
I’m not sleepy, not even slightly
When I hear my dad snore
I’ll unwrap three or four
Then wrap them back up again tightly

Enjoyed this poem. 🙂
GREAT! So short, sharp and true! Thank you.
This poem tells us what thoughts transpire children. Or perhaps adults too.
Thanks everyone, glad you liked it. Limericks are so much fun to write – I can’t help myself.
