Rain dear
In Australia, when it’s Christmas hot,
A farmer’s keen for a little drop
of rain from heaven, upon his roof,
of Santa’s gifts, he looks for proof
Then drumming starts above; he hears
his wife call out “It’s rain dear!”

Yes, more Australian Christmas stuff, please!
Hello Walter. I am a choral composer in Canberra. I was looking for inspiration for a christmas song and came across your excellent word play poem “Rain deer”. I have written a song based on your concept and would like to get in touch with you about crediting you before I publish it. Please visit my website https://www.kirstenduncan.com.au/html/composing.html for info about me, and there is a contact form on the homepage. Thanks! Kirsten Duncan
